I knew that Ferrari had lost its way with its questionable F50 in 1995 which took a dramatic step towards ugly from the world-famous and gorgeous F40, but nothing could prepare me for this: the unbelievably god-awful prototype of the F60. Billed as a "McLaren F1 killer", this new car doesn't even deserve to be called a Ferrari. As a consolation, the sketches for the 575 Maranello replacement, called the "Rossa", evoke the memory of the venerable 250 Testarossa of the late 1950s.
