Strangelets: 1,000,000 MPH, Weigh Several Tons, Size of Pollen Grain

Scientists believe they have indirect evidence of 'strangelets', or strange-quark nuggets, ultra-dense packets of quarks that are several million times more dense than lead. Created in stellar furnaces or the Big Bang itself, these rare specimens may be some of the 'dark' matter that is thought to account for the vast majority of matter in the universe.
