Well, the inevitable technological attack on music-swapping has begun in earnest. This has started with "spoofing" where music companies post incomplete, damaged, or useless versions of the song on music-swapping networks. I believe that they have also mounted DOS attacks on the networks themselves, and the trend is moving towards outright guerrilla warfare with viruses and other attempts to disable or destroy user machines. I am very curious to see how the government deals with multinational companies engineering and distributing viruses and other malicious code.
