Monday Roundup

First, some amazing flower renderings by Japanese artist Macoto Murayama. And there's a bit of ironic beauty that shows technology is making us clever fools with technologies like predictive texts and spell checkers. (This rings true--I type faster than ever and make far more spelling errors--automatically corrected of course--than I did ten years ago.) Perhaps they'll find out why when they sequence my genes, a process that may soon take a month of time and cost about 6000 times less than it does today. That's cool, but I'd rather have a special Lamborghini named after me.
