Amused to Death

Fans of the classic On the Beach will appreciate my pre-apocalyptic fascination with cars. There's a bittersweet story of a tour of the Sultan of Brunei's rotting car collection. Projected Plume

Get ready, USA. Because if there is a major radioactive plume from Fukushima, it will be headed our way. I Read this chart to say that the intensity of the plume when it arrives will be roughly 1/100th of what is seen within a few hundred miles of the Japanese mainland. The article says that "any plume will be diluted as it travels and, at worst, would have extremely minor health consequences in the United States." That's not doing much to make me feel better...
