More on Palladium and TCPA

The NY Times has some analysis of criticisms of the TCPA (Trusted Computing Platform Alliance) and some thoughts on digital rights management. Also, you can view the TCPA's own witepapers at their website and see what they're trying to do. Palladium appears to be the Microsoft visage of their involvement with TCPA (along with Compaq Computer, Hewlett-Packard, I.B.M., and Intel).

Remember, America: if you don't fight this one, you're going to get a PC in a few years that won't run software, won't let you copy CDs, and won't let you have the meager privacy you enjoy today.
