Why Microsoft's Palladium is the Computer Armageddon

Robert Cringley usually has some excellent rants, but his latests on Microsoft's Palladium is nothing short of spectacular. He correctly points out that this is yet another move by the Redmond monopolists to completely enslave your desktop while efficiently wiping out any shred of competition. Palladium brings no added value to the user, but will create conflicts and the need for massive upgrades (which explains the hardware industry's wholehearted support). This kind of brazen predatory behavior should be roundly condemned by the entire business community. It most certainly will be by the users. I can't believe the DOJ isn't throwing the book at them--how much more evidence do they need for Microsoft's contempt for its captive customers?
