Blowing Your Nose

Man, apparently I can't do anything right! It turns out that it can be harmful to blow your nose when you have a cold. The high pressure forces virus-laden mucus into your sinuses and inner ear which can cause secondary infections.

The proper method has you cover one nostril at a time and blow gently. Doesn't sound very effective, does it?
